LeCesse Development Corp. announces second phase of award-winning mixed-use development

LeCesse Development Corp.and MAS Development Group have helped shape the growing community of Elizabeth,N.J., with the award-winning Vintage City development, which includes Vinty, the first mixed-use building within the project. Now, LeCesse/MAS is building on that success with the second phase of Vintage City.

The company today announced the start of a 258-unit, best-in-class apartment community, ECCO. The project is slated for completion in late 2027.

ECCO builds on the success of Vinty, a 267-unit luxury apartment community with more than 35,000 square feet of retail space. The transit-oriented project earned Deal of the Year in theMixed Use category of the NAIOP New Jersey Commercial Real Estate Awards earlier this year.

“We’re incredibly honored by the reception Vinty has received in the community,” said Caleb Keenan, COO.“We want to continue meeting the need and growing the Elizabeth community, and we know ECCO will do just that.”

ECCO will include four-story, elevator-serviced apartment buildings with enclosed hallways and a central courtyard. The development will offer a mix of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom units, and residents will have the option to rent garage spaces from a278-space podium garage.

Units will include Italian cabinetry, wood plank-style flooring, quartz countertops, Energy Star appliances, tile backsplashes, upgraded lighting, walk-in closets, and a cutting-edge SMART home package with voice-controlled lights and other upgrades. The community will also feature a Class A amenity package with an expansive gym, game room and wet bar, golf simulator, coworking space, resort-style pool area, outdoor theater and more.

Like Vinty, the community offers extensive access to retail, dining, transportation and job centers. The recently renovated Elizabeth train station is 10 minutes from Newark Penn Station and 25 minutes to NY Penn Station. The Union County AdministrationBuilding, just blocks away, will add 700 jobs to the area. And ECCO offers direct access to the NJ Turnpike, Routes 1 and 9, the Garden State Parkway and more.

Additionally, Vinty itself offers retail space, including a Mexican restaurant, sandwich shop, burger bar, bank and a coworking space.

The architect for the project is Baker Barrios out of Tampa, Fla. The general contractor is March Associates out of Wayne, N.J. The civil engineer is Neglia Group out of Lyndhurst,N.J.
